Ryan is an Economic Consultant at LE Europe who works across several different practice areas with an interest in Consumer Protection and Behavioural and Experimental Economics. His role at LE includes both quantitative and qualitative desk-based research, as well as client-facing aspects.
Ryan holds a BSc. in Economics at Royal Holloway, University of London (first class honours) and an MSc. in Economics from University College London (UCL). Throughout his academic and professional career, he has developed a strong interest in the identification, measurement and understanding of consumer behaviours and motivations. This involved the completion of two dissertations within the topics of behavioural and experimental economics. This research experience is coupled with extensive training in economics, including a focus on Behavioural and Micro theory.
Since joining LE, Ryan has been involved with a literature review of behavioural interventions to reduce water usage, developed an excel model to calculate feasibility of loan repayments across a number of different loan factors, as well as conducted a large scale data collection, and mapping, of multiple indicators at a UK-wide local authority level. Other projects have included conducting a theory of change analysis to track how an investment creates outputs, creating databases of key stakeholders for interviews and workshops, and creating and updating datasets to provide an overview of the EU construction industry.
